Azurite Fitness Beta 4 - V1.0.3

Over the past week or two, we have been organising what work we are going to be focusing on in upcoming updates and what features we want to introduce to you in the upcoming beta releases. With beta 4, we have a number of nice improvements, fixes and new features that we hope you will enjoy.

Here is what's new in version 1.0.3 (9037)

Simplified Auto-BMI

We have made changes to Auto-BMI that means that only one reading will be saved, which will be the latest one, based on your weight updates in Body weight tracking. This means that if you delete or update any weight readings, it will only need to update your BMI reading if you update or delete your latest weight reading. If any users would be interested in seeing your BMI against your body weight readings, please send us feedback on this.

Introducing the Gallery

Today, we are pleased to be introducing the gallery to Azurite Fitness. The gallery has been designed from the ground up to be flexible throughout the app, giving users the ability to manage their photos no matter what metric they belong to.

To start with, the gallery supports basic features for photo management, with more to come. One key focus of the gallery was to let you get a better look at your images. So to take a look at a photo full screen, its just a tap away, with zoom controls built in as you'd expect them to be. We have also included image deletion with this release. We will be looking at improving this over time, especially how we surface the ability to delete an image. In this release, simple press and hold on any images and tap yes on the prompt to delete the selected image. We have added the gallery to feedback centre under details view and my motivation, so we look forward to hearing what you think.

Details View improvements

With this release, we are adding Photo support to Details View. For those users who make use of numerical and photo tracking, Details View is your hub for each individual metric that you keep track of. With the recent data snapshot at the top, history available at the tap of a button, your progress graph centre stage and your most recent 8 images shown in my photos, this view is designed to give you a perfect overall snapshot of your progress.

Though we know only seeing your latest 8 photos isn't quite enough, we have added full Gallery support to Details View. Tapping the Gallery button will navigate you to the Gallery, and when your done, Details View will be right there waiting for you. My Photos has been enabled for all Measure metrics and Photo Progress in the Health Dashboard. Give it a go and let us know through Feedback Centre!

My Motivation Setup Improvements

Along with introducing gallery support to My Motivation, we have used this chance to improve the UI of the images portion of the card, to provide users with a better, more streamlined design.

We have therefore made a section for Azurite Photo Frame, and a section for adding and managing your own uploaded photos. These changes give you even more control over your data, content and experience. We have also redesigned the interface when an image is being uploaded, so that it fits with this new design a little better. Plus, the image management button takes you straight to the new gallery!

Issues resolved

  • We have fixed an issue with data deletion that would cause a crash of the app if the user only had one reading and chose to delete it.

  • We have fixed an issue with the Health dashboard that meant if the user deleted the only reading of a metric, the card would not be removed until after an app restart.

  • We have removed some bits and pieces in the background that weren't needed.

  • We updated our Crash reporting so as to ensure it's continued functioning.

  • We have fixed a reported issue in Feedback Centre that was causing users to get stuck in a loop after looking at feedback details in.. Feedback Centre (oops).

  • We have updated the Measure metric cards to remove the background colour from the new readings button on each card, to give it a cleaner look and feel.

We know it's taken a bit longer to get this beta out, but we hope you like what we've been working on. Let us know what you think by heading to Feedback Centre. We are constantly checking for new feedback and are always aiming to ensure your feedback helps shape the product we're building.

Keep up the hustle,

Tim C.
